The Housing Authority of the City of Columbia, S.C.

Mod Rehab Program

Since 1934, the Columbia Housing Authority has been providing affordable housing to the citizens of the City of Columbia and Richland County in South Carolina.

The Mod Rehab program is a project-based rental assistance program for low-income families.

The housing units consist of apartments and homes owned by private landlords that have been moderately renovated. The assistance is tied to the unit.  When vacancies occur, families are selected from the Mod Rehab waiting list.

The family selected for the unit will be responsible for paying approximately 30% of their adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
