2018 Summer Youth Employment Vacancies
Applicants must be residents of CHA Public Housing or Section 8 to qualify.

Applications received after that time WILL ONLY be considered if there are unfilled positions.

CHA Summer Youth Applications will be available at all CHA Offices beginning April 16, 2018.
Minimum of 10 positions are available.
CHA Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Students will be scheduled for 30 hours a week during the regular work week.
The program will begin on Monday, June 18 and will conclude on Friday, August 10. Applicants must agree to be available during the entire work schedule (9 weeks).
All persons will be paid $7.50 per hour.
Age requirement: minimum 16 years of age. Because of limited funds, the CHA will give first priority to persons that will be high school seniors for the 2018-2019 school year.
All applicants must be enrolled in high school/college to be eligible. Verification from the student’s school will be required at the time of application.
Note: Residency in CHA Public Housing or the Housing Choice Voucher Program Housing is a requirement for employment for all positions. All leases will be verified (student’s name must be on lease).
Work Locations will be determined once selected.
Clerical Aide, Tillis Center Aide, Resident Program Aide: Assists with general office duties to include data entry, filing, answering telephone, assisting CHA clients, and special projects as assigned.
Maintenance Aide and Grounds Crew Aide: Cleans grounds and buildings; assists Maintenance staff with completion of work orders regarding carpentry, Heating and Air, electrical, plumbing, and routine maintenance at CHA properties.
Resident Programs Aide: Will assist with the Summer Feeding Program in partnership with Richland County School District One. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
